Knitted case for NOOK Simple Touch®


You need:

-knitting needles 2,5 mm (or DPNs 2,5mm)
-cable needle (cn)
-one button
-tapestry needle
-crochet hook

Knitting pattern:

CO 54 sts. At the first row place markers.

Rows 1 and 3: p3, k12, p3, place marker, p3, k12, p3, place marker, p3, k12, p3

Rows 2, 4, and 6: (p3, p12, k3) x3

Row 5: (p3, sl next 3 sts to cn and hold in back, k3, k3 from cn, sl next 3 sts to cn and hold in front, k3, k3 from cn, p3) x3


   Repeat Rows 1-6 till you get length you need. Finish the flap (to get this V-shaped top), decreasing 2 stitches both sides, but still knitting in cable pattern. To get accomplished look knit an I-cord (CO 4 sts) long enough to frame the case opening and sew it to the case using tapestry needle. You can use the same color or neon pink, green or yellow would be great accent! Using crochet hook make a button loop. Also if you wish you can knit a handle. Wishing you a pleasant reading!
