Recycled T-shirts

Go Green, give new life to your old t-shirt! Recycling your clothes is easier than you might think. It is important to recycling or donate your used clothing. Help other people! Keep Earth clean! There is many ways to remake your old clothes, I'll show you one crochet handbag, made from old t-shirt and very nice pink men's t-shirt I transformed in tunic.

I'll show you in details how to recycle a men's t-shirt into mini dress-tunic. All you need is a t-shirt, 2 or 3 buttons, scissors and thread.

I made a flower from fabric.
From t-shirt neck-piece cut a shoulder-strap.
Using fabric paints I framed the flower petals.
Sew the hem of your new tunic.

Cut the right sleeve.
I sewn the flower on to hide the t-shirt label.
Take a step back and admire your recycled new mini dress!

Bottle in Yarn

   ART VASE

I took this bottle from the basement of my house. I decided to create something different. It is really super easy and fast. This is the result of my creation.

All you need is:
-glue
-bottle
-yarn (or hemp)
-paintbrush
-glitter

Smear the glue on the bottle, then wrap the yarn.

I found this silver lame thread in my sewing box and I decided to use it as a glamour.

Flower:
CO 2 sts, using orange yarn. Make an I-cord long 21 inches. Make 7 peatls (one petal=3 inches).

Glue the flower to the bottle. In the center I made golden stamen using transparent nail polish and glitter. Also, I spray throat and bottom of the bottle, using golden paint.

Emilie's Old-fashioned Knitting Set

I made this knitting set to my niece Emilie for her 5th birthday party! I took this suitcase from the local flea market. I'll keep in secret the price, cause it's exclusive, almost unbelievable! Great deal for me! It is inspired by another French knitting case, I've shown you in my post Here

Here how it looks like after I used sandpaper. Then I wash it and paint it using satin varnish.

To make it you will need:
-sandpaper
-satin varnish
-wrapping paper
-glue
-ruler
-scissors
-cardboard
-paintbrush
-elastic band

The very first thing I did after painting the suitcase was to cut a piece from the wrapping paper and glue it using decoupage technique.

Take a look inside before:
   Before:
Also, I cut two pieces of cardboard and art plate to fit inside. Mark with a pencil where you want elastic band to go. Push the band through and bind to secure not too tight. Cut off excess elastic band. Place the knitting tools underneath the band and fill the suitcase with the other crafty goodies.
After painting and decoupage:
Wow! Is this the same suitcase I bought? Yep...it is!
It means "Emilie's suitcase"

The suitcase contains all the elements you need to learn knitting and crochet:
-crochet hook
-kinder knitting needles (by Susanne's)
-scissors
-sewing meter
-apple pin-cushion
-I-cord maker machine
-buttons
-beads
-balls of yarn

Now take a step back and admire your work!
