Happy women's day to me and all the ladies over there!


Red Rose Beauty

Today I'll show you how to do this beautiful red rose. You can use it like hairband, brooch, to decorate your handbag, like head band, necklace, pin-cushion or just to decorate your home! This is a little gift from me to you!



Materials:

Needles 3mm or 3,5mm
Green yarn
Red Yarn

ABBREVIATIONS
CO - cast on
BO - bind off
k - knit
p - purl
m1 - make one
k2tog - knit two together
p2tog - purl two together
st st - stockinette stitch
ssk - slip, slip, knit



Rose:

CO 5 sts, using red color yarn.

Rows 1, 3, 5: k1, m1, k to end

Rows 2, 4, 6: p to last st, m1, p1 (11sts)

Row 7: knit

Row 8: purl

Rows 9, 11, 13: k1, k2tog, k to end

Rows 10, 12, 14: p to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1 (5sts)

Repeat rows 1-14 twice until you make three petals.
Do not break the yarn, next:


Rows 1, 3, 5: k1, m1, k to end

Rows 2, 4, 6: P to last st, m1, p1 (11sts)

Rows 7, 9: knit

Rows 8, 10: purl

Rows 11, 13, 15: K1, k2tog, k to end

Rows 12, 14, 16: P to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1 (5sts)

Repeat rows 1-16 unitl you make total six petals.

Continue as follows:

Rows 1, 3, 5: k1, m1, k to end

Rows 2, 4, 6: p to last  st, m1, p1 (11 sts)

Row 7, 9, 11: knit

Row 8, 10, 12: purl

Rows 13, 15, 17: K1, k2tog, k to end

Rows 14, 16, 18: P to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1 (5sts)

Repeat rows 1-18 three times. Make four petals - 9 petals totally. Leave a long end of yarn.



Big Leaf:


 CO 3 sts, using green color yarn


Row 1: p (3sts)


Row 2: k1, m1, k2 (4 sts)


Row 3: p (4)


Row 4: (k1, m1) X 4 (8 sts)


Row 5: p (8 sts)


Row 6: k1, (k1, m1) X 2, k2, (k1, m1) X 2, k1 (12 sts)


Row 7: p (12 sts)


Row 8: k2, (k1, m1) X 2, k4, (k1, m1) X 2, k2 (16 sts)

Rows 9-13: st st, start with p (5 rows)

Row 14: k2, K2tog, ssk, k4, k2tog, ssk, k2 (12 sts)

Row 15: p (12 sts)


Row 16:k1, k2tog, ssk, k2, k2tog, ssk, k1 (8 sts)


Row 17: p (8 sts)


Row 18: (k2tog) X 4 (4 sts)


Row 19: p2tog, p2 (3 sts)


Row 20: BO


  
Small leaf:


CO 3 sts, using green color yarn


Row 1: p (3 sts)


Row 2: k1, m1, k2 (4 sts)


Row 3: p

Row 4: (k1, m1) X 4 (8 sts)


Row 5: p

Row 6: k1, (k1, m1) X 2, k2, (k1, m1) X 2, k1 (12 sts)


Rows 7-11: st st, start with p (5 rows)


Row 12: k1, k2tog, ssk, k2, k2tog, ssk, k1 (8 sts)


Row 13: p (8 sts)


Row 14: (k2tog) X 4 (4 sts)


Row 15: p2tog, p2 (3 sts)


Row 16: BO



Continue rolling up the rose in a spiral shape, starting with the small petals in the center.


Sew leaves on the bottom of the rose. The rose is done!
